The most recent extension of the fastest growing city in the Netherlands is Almere Poort.  As a main gateway to the city of Almere  from the much emphasis is placed on it’s function and appearance as such. DykeView is the most expressive part of Almere Poort as it shows itself to the surrounding area and major northbound highway from behind the dyke that protects the entire region. This development plan caters to 650 housing units and 15.000m of small businesses. Various strong and contrasting urban concepts were developed, combining studies of dyke typologies, feasibility & expressive quality along the coastline of the polder.
